Do you have any favorite photography memories?

My favorite memory of photography is when I realized how much I loved it. My first camera was a Nikon 5d100, purchased from Craigslist. It was in mint condition and did the job at the time. I didn't know what I was doing, I just needed a camera. After awhile, I really starting getting into photography, carrying my camera everywhere and shooting whatever or whoever came to mind. One day my camera broke. I couldn't believe it. It was as if I didn't know how to live without my camera in my hand. That's when I realized how much I loved photography.

What challenges have you faced along the way?

I think a big challenge I've faced through this journey is the fact that I'm still young. I work for the DOE, from 8:30am to 3:00pm I'm a paraprofessional and from 3:00pm- 6:00pm I'm an after school counselor. Being so busy sometimes makes it a challenge to have photo shoots and take certain opportunities.

Who or what is your biggest inspiration?

My biggest inspiration is myself and my brother. I see where I was before and I see how much I've grown since and it's insane. My brother is a very positive person and he's been a big inspiration and influence for me. He's definitely a role model in my life, teaching me to keep a positive mindset and to just keep working, stay focused, and never give up!

Do you have any favorite quotes or words you like?

I usually tell people to "just go shoot." Literally JUST GO SHOOT. Take photos of anything, you never know what you'll capture. Also, I always remind myself that anybody can pick up a camera and take a picture, but not everybody can take a great, memorable photo that speaks for itself.

What makes you stand out?

My creativity with layout and content makes me stand out, as well as the variety of photos I take.

What is your best strength?

My best strength is my ambition. If I want something I make sure I go get exactly what I want and I won't stop until I get it.

How do you measure your success?

I measure my success by looking back on where I was before and where I am now.

What's your why?

My family, my brother, my girlfriend, the positive and negative energy that comes my way is definitely what makes me come alive.
