What is your favorite memory of surfing?

I remember an afternoon session where all the elements aligned in perfect harmony. The wind was still, the waves were rolling in clean and glassy. As I caught a wave and made the drop and looked up; a postcard appeared in front of me. The setting sun behind the mountains and the reflections on the water caught my attention. I was entranced by the colors and details of the landscape. As if time had stopped, I was in perfect unity with nature. I had the impression of admiring a painting in a museum, whilst surfing.

Who or what is your biggest inspiration?

A lot of things inspire me, reading books, going to art exhibitions, but my main source of inspiration comes from the stories of people that I meet.

Do you have any favorite quotes or words you like?

"Things are what they are; and will be what they will be."

What makes you stand out?

I am a calm and diplomatic person. I have been complimented on my ability to diffuse tense situations.

What is your best strength?

I maintain a state of tranquility and do not get worried or stressed out. I prefer to focus on the bigger picture.

What is your ultimate goal or motivator?

My main motivator is to enjoy each and every day. Every morning when I wake up I ask to myself how am I going to have fun. Even if it will be a tough day at work.

How do you measure your success?

I judge success on how happy and fulfilled I feel. I am satisfied when I've learnt something new or if I spend time laughing with people.

What's your why?

When I start to do something new, my attitude is to begin with an open mind so as to be able to appreciate things to the fullest.
